Skule Grad Honoured for Research on Smart Traffic Lights

Samah El-Tantawy (CivE PhD 1T2) earned two prestigious international awards for developing a system that helps traffic lights think and 'talk' to each other, learning to create optimum traffic patterns in real time.

Alumni Start-up Service Matches Companies and Interns

Developed at U of T Engineering's Entrepreneurship Hatchery, Interngration was officially launched last month by Anirudh Ganti (ElecE 1T3), Hargun Suri (CompE 1T3) and Ian Xiao (ElecE 1T3). Suri (at left) received an entrepreneurship award from the City of Toronto for his work as a co-founder.

Alumni are invited to the Skule Orchestra’s Valentine’s Ball on Friday, February 14 at Hart House’s Great Hall. Includes a ballroom dance lesson, an evening of dance and live music, hors d’oeuvres, photos and exclusive dinner deals at local restaurants for ticketholders. Tickets go on sale in early January.
