Appointment of Director,
Office of the Dean

I am pleased to announce that Margaret Grisdale has been appointed Director, Office of the Dean as of Oct. 20, 2008.
 
Margaret previously held the position of Secretary of the Board of Governors and Manager of the President’s Office of the Ontario College of Art & Design. She has, however, a long connection with the University of Toronto. A graduate in Political Science and English (BA 1985), she began her administrative career here at Trinity College. After an absence during which she managed the government-appointed review of the safety of Ontario’s nuclear reactors following the Chernobyl accident, she returned to the U of T to serve as first Manager of the Ontario Laser and Lightwave Research Centre, one of the antecedents of the Institute for Optical Sciences. From there she moved to Victoria College, where she served as Registrar and Secretary of Council.
