CEAB Visits EngSci and MIE | |
The Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) will review our undergraduate programs in Engineering Science and conduct a smaller review of undergraduate programs in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering later this month, with a view to renewal of accreditation. “On behalf of the Faculty, I express our gratitude to all members of Engineering who have participated in the CEAB review process for EngSci and MIE,” said Cristina Amon, Dean. “This is a process that requires a large time commitment from our staff, professors, and students above and beyond their regular responsibilities and we truly appreciate the support of our community in helping us achieve this renewed accreditation.” CEAB was established by Engineers Canada in 1965 to provide accreditation to undergraduate engineering programs, which is a necessary requirement for registration as a professional engineer in Canada. For this CEAB review, seven visitors will be housed in Galbraith Building room 204 from Nov. 23 to 25. The visitors speak with professors, students, and staff and review extensive material about our courses. |
