Faculty Energy Research Event

We invite all our faculty members to attend the Faculty Energy Research Event at the Faculty Club on Friday, Feb. 22, from 3:00-6:00 pm. The aim of this event is to bring together faculty who are working on energy-related research projects and to initiate discussion on how the Faculty can better leverage its existing research, promote collaborative research and build solid foundations for future research.

“Energy is one of the key research themes in the Faculty and we have projects ongoing in all departments,” said Stewart Aitchison, Vice-Dean, Research, of the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering. “Our goal is to have future meetings that will focus on technical information exchanges, interactions with external partners and showcasing our successful research projects.”

The Faculty Energy Research Event will begin with an overview of energy research in the Faculty by Stewart Aitchison. There will also be a talk on Funding Priorities for Energy by Tim McTiernan, Assistant Vice-President, Research and Executive Director of Innovations. Additionally, representatives from departments and divisions in the Faculty will discuss energy research in their respective departments and divisions. The day will end with a reception in the Main Lounge.
