Winter 2014
A Message from Dean Cristina Amon
As we look forward to commemorating National Engineering Month in March, our Faculty has much to be proud of – not only the outstanding work of researchers and students, but also the work of alumni across the globe. This fall, we recognized eleven exceptional graduates for their accomplishments through the 2013 Engineering Alumni Association (EAA) Awards.
I have had the privilege of meeting alumni around the world who are making a difference. In November, I met once again with our growing Skule community in Asia-Pacific, who are demonstrating their pride and confidence in our Faculty by supporting our forthcoming Centre for Engineering Innovation & Entrepreneurship. I have just returned from California, where I reconnected with graduates in the San Francisco Bay Area and heard some of them share insights on cloud computing at our latest BizSkule event.
Thank you for making your own contributions as a U of T Engineer, and joining me in celebrating your alma mater – the premier Engineering school in Canada and among the very best in the world.
