A Message from Acting Dean Yu-Ling Cheng

Year after year, we graduate engineers who go on to do incredible work. Their creativity, their knack for business and their passion to engineer a better world – was nurtured here.

At U of T Engineering, we are providing students with the highest quality of education and the most dedicated educators. It is through diverse initiatives such as ILead and The Entrepreneurship Hatchery and research centres like CGEN, that we inspire our future engineers.

It is through our commitment to teaching excellence that we prepare our engineers to innovate. We saw results of that commitment in April, when our faculty members were honoured for their dedication to student learning. In June, we will see yet another group of engineering leaders move on from our classrooms and into the workplace and academe.

Our Academic Plan clearly identifies the quality of teaching and student experience as key priorities. We have superb teachers, and we support initiatives to continually improve the quality of education that we deliver to our students. I am confident that our graduates will continue to be innovators and contributors to society.
