Fire Alarms |
||||
A number of fire alarms rang through Engineering buildings over the past few months. Unfortunately faculty, staff and students have remained in the buildings despite warnings. The Toronto Fire Department has brought this to our attention as an unnecessary risk to community members’ lives. In response, the UT Fire Prevention Services has issued the following notice: Our buildings are equipped with fire alarm systems for your protection. When the fire alarm sounds, everyone must evacuate the building immediately, per University Policy. The fire alarm signals are your only indication. There will be no supplementary instructions. Do not wait. Do not question. Just leave the building. Full cooperation with this protocol is mandatory under the Code of Student Conduct and the University’s Crisis Preparedness and Response Policy. |
