7T6 Early Career Award | Ali Khademhosseini | ChemE 9T9, MASc 0T1
Over the span of three years, Ali completed his PhD in bioengineering at MIT, developed micro and nanopatterning approaches and proteins on surfaces, and published over 20 publications. After graduating from MIT, Ali joined the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology to solve critical medical and biological issues. This is also where he quickly set up a well funded and fully equipped lab, which in three years now comprises 15 post doctoral fellows, as well as 15 graduate students and visiting students. Ali has now published nearly 100 peer-reviewed high-impact papers in outstanding journals, provided over 80 keynote speeches at nearly every corner of the world, and receives over 500 citations annually. He also edited a book on engineering the microenvironment of cells, the first authoritative book published in this area. Other accomplishments include:
7T6 Early Career Award The Early Career Award recognizes a member of the class celebrating 10 years since graduation. The award is presented to an individual who has distinguished himself or herself in the profession, the community, the university, and other related fields; someone who has already attained significant achievement and gives promise of further contributions. |
