Provide a copy of the application and a completed and signed RIS form to Debbie Bilinski, Research Services Office Application deadline: May 19, 2010, 12:00 noon The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is now accepting grant proposals for Round 5 of Grand Challenges Explorations, a US $100 million initiative to encourage unconventional global health solutions. Grant proposals are being accepted on the following topics: - Create Low-Cost Cell Phone-Based Applications for Priority Global Health Conditions These are the only topics under consideration at this time. The Foundation is looking for innovative approaches that are responsive to the topics from scientists around the world and from all scientific disciplines. Initial grants will be $100,000 each, and projects showing promise will have the opportunity to receive additional funding of up to $1 million US Dollars. During the application process, you are required to provide the University of Toronto Institutional Officer's information. The Institutional Officer is the person authorized to sign the grant agreement on behalf of the university.
