Centre for Sustainable Energy Opens
On March 3 the Centre for Sustainable Energy held its grand opening. In the fall of 2009 the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, under the leadership of Olivera Kesler, explored opportunities to develop connections between sustainable energy researchers, educators, students, and industrial and government partners.
The inclusive, interdisciplinary Centre brings together information about energy-related pursuits throughout the University in one central location. It will organize seminars and events with energy-related themes and will also facilitate connections between researchers, students, and teachers interested in energy issues. The Centre will also disseminate announcements and information on sustainable energy to all members.
Faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate and undergraduate students are all welcome to join the CSE. To join the mailing list, please send an email to eep@ecf.utoronto.ca. Please include your UTORID in the email and specify whether you wish to be added to the undergraduate, graduate, postdoctoral, or faculty CSE mailing list.
Faculty can become of a member of the CSE and add their research areas and contact information directly to the website by visiting www.mie.utoronto.ca/CSE/join/.
